Automated Strip Diagnostic Assembly Lines
This automatic strip diagnostic assembly line is used to assemble and package filled strips diagnostic fluid for food-borne pathogen detection. The strips are distributed and convoyed on a metallic belt conveyor with multiple placings. Their fingerprints are filled with test liquid via a station with 16 volumetric pumps. An aluminium film is unreeled over the strips and then heat sealed. Identification labels are printed and affixed to the aluminium film.
A cutting operation separates the strips. At the end of the line, a 6-axis robot takes the strips individually in blister trays that are distributed and stacked automatically. Part of the line is under a luminar flow to create a clean zone.
The equipment can operate up 5300 strips/hour.
